Sports clothes for the baby

So the topic came up today between Spring, my mom, and I about what teams will our baby wear. I thought the answer was obvious: Giants, 49ers and Warriors. Spring thought that since we live in LA, the Dodgers and Lakers would be OK too. NO WAY! Sorry to break it to everyone in LA, but I am raising a Bay Area sports team baby. So don't spend your hard earned money on Dodgers or Lakers gear because our boy will never wear it :-)

The Belly Part II

We went out to dinner tonight on the harbor in Long Beach with our good friends Mercy and Danny. Mercy is also 5 months pregnant, so we took some pictures of the future moms!

The Belly

I know all things are relative . . . BUT this picture doesn't show just how huge I've gotten OR how huge I feel. I know I'm only going to get bigger . . .. Hopefully these pictures will help me to keep things in perspective as our baby continues to grow.

Baby Cooke's First Gift

Our baby received his first gift this week. I think it's adorable. I love that the stuffed animal is machine washable. The blue is our favorite color too. I just realized that all of our walls are painted blue . . . the accessories in our home are blue . . . blue is great.

Ok. I'd also like to mention that turning into a mom is so natural that you wouldn't believe it. I've already caught myself saying things like, "I already know he's a good boy." I certainly don't know what it's going to be like to be a mom, but I think I'm beginning to understand unconditional love in ways I didn't before. I LOVE our baby.

AFP

This is just a note of thanks to our heavenly father. Our AFP screening results were everything you would hope they would be. We have a 1/5,000 chance of Down's and a 1/10,000 chance of trisomy 3 (did I spell that wrong?). So, we're grateful and excited to share the positive result with friends and family.

Blessings and Peace
