Photoshoot at 26 weeks

Our first photoshoot of "the belly" was fun. Enjoy the pics, many more to come as Micah grows inside.

Wow

I am amazed that the little counter Marcus put on the left now says that we have less 100 days to go before the arrival of our precious little boy. I am so excited about seeing him and getting to know him. He already has lots of friends, people who call him by name when we walk into a room. It is also a huge blessing that I'll get to be home with him for more than the six weeks leave that are granted by work. We expect him to come so close to the summer time, that I'll be able to just continue my stay home through the summer. We're counting down and enjoying our time before our lives are changed forever by our new addition.

An Additional Note About Generosity

I was checking to see if I'd made any mistakes in the previous post and it occurred to me that there is another gift that we should have a post about. Mom and Dad Cooke purchased the crib that I wanted. I say it that way because Marcus was really resolved to accept the offer of the free crib we posted about previously, but I felt this was a better long-term choice. So, thank you Mom and Dad Cooke for our baby's crib/bed, it creates a gorgeous foundation for our baby's room.

Daddy's Diaper Bag

Our friends and family have been more than generous. We haven't posted everything because it would be overwhelming, but we are deeply grateful. This surprise gift arrived this week from Carmen and Jerin. It's a diaper bag for daddy. Marcus had a lot of fun modeling it for all of you.

A Little Fly on the Wall

Me: I got the schedule of classes for new parents from Miller Children's today.

Marcus: Oh yeah?

Me: Yeah. It costs money, but you can get a package deal at a discounted rate.

Marcus: What!? See this is why we need Kaiser.

Me: They have lots of classes to choose from . . .Baby Basics . . . Your Newborn . . . CPR . . . Dad's Bootcamp . . .

Marcus: Dad's what?

Me: Dad's Bootcamp. No women are allowed. It's supposed to be a comfortable space for you to learn and ask questions without women present.

Marcus: I'm not going to that.

Me: Why? You don't want a safe space to learn about babies without women present?

Marcus: No. I don't want to know anything you don't know. I might have to do something.

Me: Are you serious?

Marcus: Yes and you can blog about it.

Me: Ok. :-)
