Something to Consider

Ok. I know. I will step into reality once the baby arrives. May I live in a fantasy world before hand though? Someone told me today, to enjoy my lunch. Why? Because soon I won't be able to eat lunch without a screaming child next to me (her words not mine). I would like to stay in a realistic kind of fantasy world. I can't possibly understand what it will really be like, but I am aware of what everyone says. I won't get any sleep. I'll feel this amazing love when the baby comes. I won't have any privacy. I know in the way I am able to know those things right now. But, since I'm not there yet, and while everyone wants me to know their reality, they won't allow me to pretend that I can imagine what it will really be like. So, let's fantasize that I will be able to afford the diapers of my choosing. Well, I choose g-diapers! Check them out! I think it's a great idea. Whether or not they're practical or affordable is a discussion we don't need to have for another 5 months.

Bump in the Night Part 2

I am more confident now that I am feeling a wee little bit of movement. I can mostly feel it as I'm laying down to go to bed or when I am deciding whether or not to get up. I know I shouldn't be too excited to feel more . . . because it will interfere will with my last few months of sleep . . . and I know it will be years before I sleep comfortably if ever . . . BUT they say within the next month our little turnip will start kicking me and I won't question whether or not that's what's happening.

Our ultrasound/is it a boy or a girl appointment is Dec. 13! Say a prayer for me so that I can enjoy today and not live in anxious anticipation of these wonderful milestones. On that note, I have papers to grade. :-)

Bump in the night...

As I was getting ready for work yesterday at about 5:15am Spring tells me how she felt the baby move last night. Is this even possible at 14 weeks to feel the baby move this early in the pregnancy?? I'm not sure. We'll have to ask our doctor at our next appointment.

Amazing Generosity

A friend of mine has offered us her crib. Her baby girl will be done with it just in time for our little one. I can't wait to find out if we're having a boy or a girl so I can decide on fun things like bedding.
